My name's Valeria and generally I write idiot things because I'm not a genius in writing serious ones. I've got a boyfriend whose name's Einstein, a cat whose leg looks like a question mark, I glue theater tickets on squared books and once a gun was stuck into my nose. Oh, I draw and animate also.
I was born in Rome and I was a cute little strange girl who used to read Shakespeare at 8 and climb trees with a self made bow. I have always had a passion for art and when my parents were out I used to draw on the wall of our house (and ran naked in the woods trying to escape from my mother who clearly wanted to kill me).
On the other hand I was very fascinated with science, so I bought a microscope and started to do experiments on my mom's flowers ( I ran faster) and then a telescope in order to understand the moon and the stars (I failed but it was cool spying the neighbors).
My mind was clearly confused, but they said that you can't live with art.
So I took a series of wrong paths that led me to an hell called Engineering. The story ends with me drawing monsters during my exams, quitting university at the second year (at this point my mom paid someone to hound me like a fox) and enrolling in a school of art, studying animation for three years.
I moved to London and taking no notice of the littleness of my house and of my despairing desire of a decent dish of pasta, now I am the happiest girl in the world (especially because my mom is far far away and she is scared of airplanes).
I am currently collaborating with a design studio illustrating children's ebooks and I am on my way to illustrate a series of cooking and science books for children.
